uhhh.... am I expecting ????

So how did i find out ?

My regular flow of 30 +/- 2 days was late this month in May. It is supposed to be around 19-22May.
Goodness. I actually did not recall the 1st day of my normal flow in April!
Anyway, as I was one week late and a chat with my ex colleague has given me some thoughts of home testing it.
I told her I would only test two weeks after AV is delayed.
As day pass by, I felt that my tummy is bloated up. I pass wind sometimes and I had some cramps.
The symptoms are just like when my normal cycle were to come. Also my boobs sore a little. It's not comfortable.
hmmmm.... But like I have said, it's nothing really new. I do encounter these in the normal months.

My friend on the other side keep persuades me to home test. I refused and on Thursday May 29, I suddenly had a feeling it is 'true'.
On my way home, I drop by Guardian and picked up a box of Clearblue Test kit (2pcs).
As soon as I reached home, I told Anderson about the test kit.
He wasn't very excited as he has mentioned he doesn't quite trust the kits.
Anyway, I went ahead testing.
I collected my urine in a disposable cup and then I dipped in the ClearBlue Test kit.
I have Anderson as my clock, counting till 5secs when I dipped. However I increased till count of 10. :)
I lay the test kit flat and slowly observe the results.
As Anderson and I was looking at the result window, we slowly see that a strong vertical line is appearing, while a the horizontal line remains.
We both then giggled - Have we striked the jackpot ?

Anderson did not want to believe much in it, as he only would if the test is done like after 2 months or by doctor's confirmation.
Anyhow, I have already quite trust the results as I'm feeling the symptoms.
I put the results aside and continue to be normal. :)

The next day, I informed my friend. She told me to take the result 100% and get a Dr to confirm that.
I don't know why but I did not really wanna follow that.
I was quite uncertain and mixed feeling.
Anyway friend advised to she had her check ups at Damansara Fertily Center, so I decided to give the clinic a call and make an appointment.
Since my friend visited Dr Wong, I decided I must see this Dr too.
As I needed a night clinic, I have to visit to Kepong Branch.
Surprisingly, I sms Anderson to confirm if it's ok to go that far, he replied me "OK".
wow......
So, appointment fixed on June 5th, 8.30pm.

I did another home test on June 3rd, with morning urine to confirm the home test.
This time, I only dipped 5 sec and lay the stick flat.
The window screen observation is the same as my 1st time.
I went to check ClearBlue website and the picture showed is clearer, and exactly like my results. :)

On Thursday 5June, here comes the big day.
I returned from work early, reaching home before 6pm.
Anderson was earlier. While I reached at 545pm, he was already sitting in front of the TV, bathed.
I guess he can't wait to get the true results.

We arrived early at Kepong, before 7pm. So we had our dinner at JayaJusco Prima.
By 740pm, we were back to the clinic and I started to register.
There was like 5-6 couples there already.
The registration nurse called me in to register my details and asked some private questions.
It was weird for me for a first-timer. :P
Then soon I was out waiting for the Dr's turn.
It was almost before 9pm I could have my turn with Dr Wong.
Surprising enough too, Anderson did not show much temper that night. :)

When I went in, Dr Wong greeted both of us with a smile and asked us to sit.
He asked so 'you're pregnant' and many other questions.
I only answered "I suspect". :P
Dr Wong explain that he will do a vaginal scan to confirm for me.

Soon, the nurse asked me to go to a corner. And there was a monitor, some gadgets and a bed.
Nurse ask me to take off my pant and panty. Errr....
I did as were asked then laid on top of the bed and the nurse cover my lower part with a piece of cloth.
Few mins later, Dr Wong walks in.
He started to explain to me the process. I was scared and asked him can my hubby come in to see ?
Dr Wong laughed but explained that sure he could but just that he'll need to have the procedure right before hubby comes in.

So, what did Dr Wong did ?
I saw him holding a big transducer.... then applied some jelly on it.
Quickly he covered the transducer with a piece of condom and apply another layer of jelly on the condom.
Then, the moments come. I was like being raped, the transducer entered me!!!!
Then Dr Wong called in my hubby.
I stared closely at the monitor. Black greyish screen... and I saw my womb.
Dr Wong examine a while and said "Congratulations, so you are really pregnant'.
I wasn't surprised by then as I tried looking more at the screen.
Dr Wong point to a part were there was some blinking. He told me that is the embryo's heart beat!
IT ALREADY HAS A HEART BEAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dr Wong measured the embryo size. It was 2.5mm. Normal size.
I do not know how Anderson felt that time, but I hope he was excited.
Well he normally can't show his real feelings...........

I got dressed and went back for DrWong's consultation.
By the date of my last menstrual, he manually calculated the embryo's age is 6weeks plus.
However the scan picture showed 5weeks 5 days.
Dr Wong explained he will confirm again in the next visit.
I'm asked to visit for check up in 3 weeks time.
He also roughly calculated that my EDD will be end of January. :)

Meanwhile, he supplied me with Duphaston 10mg and Folic acid.
I also got the scan photo of my little embryo. :)

Two days later, Anderson got me a can of Enfamama A+. :)
started drinking on 7th June08. Didn't quite like the taste at first but now it is all alrite. :)

So when did he break it to his Mother ?
It was as soon as the next day - Friday that he told his mom.
Well, what to do, he told me the mother cooks dinner for me sometimes so she has to know!
I wasn't around when he tells. I was told the mother's reaction is smiling and said "GOOD".
haha..... oh well..... she reminded I can't eat GrassJelly and Watermelon.

I'm not ready to tell my parents yet. I'm gonna wait till my 2nd check up before telling them.
