It was a funny situation for me that time when I'm getting ready by doctors for the C-sec. The first one to talk to me is the Anesthetician, can't recall his name. He was trying to ask me relax and etc while I really couldn't, bearing the contraction pain on and off. I was asked to lie on my left and he inject the drug on my thigh. Few seconds after that, I can feel that my left leg started to get numb and my lower body too, however my right leg is still moving!!!!!
I kept telling the anesthetician about it and he thought it was unusual. I then reminded Dr Wong not to CUT me yet as I wasn't numb yet!!! haha....
When I was half way thru that, Anderson came into the OT and joint me. He was allowed to sit by me only and not with the Doctors. :P
As I was still turning numb, I heard Dr Wong asking the anesthetician if I'm ready. Not sure what was the reply but I then heard Dr Wong said he'll prepare me first. "I'll clean her first".
Later on I heard Dr Wong asked Anderson to talk to me and so he did, comforting me.
Not too long after that.... Anderson told me he 'thinks' bb is out. Of course i don't feel. :p
A while later, the paediatrician brought bb over to me and showed her to me. Trying to recall, i think the Paed asked BB to either see Mommy or Kiss mommy, by bringing her real close to my face. It was such a happy moment and I had tears running down. And so Baby Chloe is born : 27 Jan 2009, 9.03am. I am officially a mommy now. :)

26Jan evening till 27Jan 09 the BIG DAY
My contraction went on... it was more regular now, from 6pm onwards.... more intense and 10mins apart and sometimes even shorter apart like 7mins. What to do now ????
Daddy called up Dr Wong again, and as usual, was advised to check into hospital. I think I was the one who called this time and was all time feeling 'paiseh' (shy) because it was 1st Day of Chinese NewYear and I had to disturb him.
As usual, we packed and bring all the necessity to hospital. This time, we walked straight to the labour room. it was 8-9pm already that time. Midwife again had wrapped me with the contraction belt and checked my cervix. This time she said it's finger tip only.... (does this mean 1cm ?), and asked what would I want to do, go home or stay ? I told her I'll follow Dr's advise and she went out to call Dr Wong. When she returned, she told me Dr advised to hospitalized. I was unsure if Dr Wong would be coming in to visit but i doubt, since finger tip only.... and it is CNY 1st day.
Daddy has decided to stay with me so we checked into a single room ward and Daddy have an extra companion bed to accompany me. But like usual-la... he slept thru the night, and I was there SLEEPLESS!!!!!!!!!! Contraction became very intense and it was 5mins apart and sometimes 3mins apart. Each last about 40secs..... I had this the whole night thru .... didn't rest well... and i was hoping this time it would be for real and I can deliver the next day.
When morning comes, around 6plus, another young midwive came to examine me. After inserting her fingers, she told me 0. I was blank.... pain the whole night thru, and yet 0 ?! She told me dr will be visiting at 8am and will advise me then.
Around 8am, a Dr came opening my room's door with nurse and I was glad but surprised to see Dr Wong walked in. Well, it was 2nd day of CNY and he had scheduled to be back Pg with his family. I asked him "I thought you have left to Pg" and he replied, 'No.. Not yet'.
So, the moment came.... he had my cervix checked and told me it is already 2cm open, and I can go to labour now. Then I heard he murmured why the nurse had told him 0.
I was quickly pushed to labour room and get prepared for labour. During then, Daddy got anxious and quickly called StemCell personnel to come over for cord blood kit collection. As soon as I was on the labour room bed, Dr Wong examined the cervix again for confirmation and then burst my water bag. I felt hot liquid running down my groin and not too long after that, Dr told me, my baby has passed motion and the liquid is already stained with meconium.
I have never read anything about bb passing motion inside tummy to get myself prepared with the situation, however my mom has told me many cases of such. My mom has always asked me to induce labour, but I refused to. So, Dr Wong advised that since bb has passed motion, he would prefer me to go for C-Sec, and explained that I had went into contraction since Saturday, baby could have been distressed and passed motion.
Both daddy and myself didn't know exactly what to be done, so we followed Dr's advise and we decided for C-sec.
So, I was then prepared by nurses before they push me to the Operation theatre. I was shaved and have a tube joint for pee.... yucks and damn painful!
When they pushed me up to the OT floor, I had to lie on the bed and wait for about 15mins outside OT as there was another C-Sec in OT. During then, contraction continues and I was managing the pain with the breathing control. It got much much more intense, definitely, but too bad, BB had passed motion, don't know exactly when it will be wide open and decision has been made......
Oh, Anderson is allowed to join me in the OT. Dr Wong permitted that and I'll only take the half body anesthetic (not epidural but similar), and numb from half body down.

BB 13th ultrasound scan - week39
hmm, I am writing this now, after 3 months I have delivered !!!!! well, thought of completing this blog for the pregnancy version, before I could start another new one for BB. So, this below is not real-time update but trying to recall vividly......
On 24th of January, I went to Dr Wong's clinic for the weekly check up.
As what was done last week, this week also we had the m/c on (I can't recall the m/c's name) to check for contraction and this time the contraction showed 3 peaks with one rather sharp curve. I had to lie on the bed with the belt wrapped around my tummy for about 25mins.
Then we proceeded to DrWong's room. An ultrasound scan was performed to check for BB and everything was good. Then next come the cervix check again and when Dr removed his fingers... he told me there was blood stain. I didn't see any spotting on my panty in the morning though.... When I got up to put on my panty, only then i observed there is a slight spotting on the panti-liner. He told me there's absolutely nothing to worry about and the cervix opening is still 0 and tight.
As i asked him when would he expect bb to arrive, he said very likely to be after CNY but i told him, it will be best to have him deliver bb (he was going back to Pg for CNY from 2nd day till 4th day).
I was scheduled for another visit the following saturday.
Oh, yes..... I was actually feeling contraction on Friday midnight. it was like 30mins apart, very mild, but i can feel the pain. I told Dr Wong regarding that but he told me it should be alright, since cervix is still closed. When i told anderson about this, during the midnite and morning, he was unsure if he should send me to Sunway or going to DrWong's clinic. However when it was about 7-8am, I didn't feel the pain anymore.
When we returned home, it was just a normal saturday afternoon. It was around almost evening my contraction came back. Again it is 20-30mins apart. Until about 8pm plus, we contacted Dr Wong for his advise, and was advised to check into hospital. We packed, taking all my hospital needs, we headed to Sunway. We have to checked in through the emergency and I was pushed ON A WHEELCHAIR to the labour room. hahaha..... it was really odd. My first time on wheel chair. :P At the labour room, the midwive put me on the contraction belt again and start monitoring for half hour, it was only a small peak that time. Then I guess he contacted Dr Wong and he came about 9-10pm. He had me examined, at my cervix of course, and again he commented he did a thorough check, cervix is 0 and water bag is ok. So.... was advised to go home, UNLESS i want to induce. I opted not to induce and i went home.
During the Saturday midnight, i felt mild contraction again. It was 15-20mins apart... however not frequent.
On Sunday, it was CNY eve and we went to MIL's house for early reunion lunch. I did not feel contraction Sunday morning, for the evening and night, as I'm trying hard to recall, I think there wasn't any pain, even if there was, it was again very mild like 15-20mins apart, not frequent.
We overnighted in MIL's house that night and brought Giorgio along so if i had to go to hospital, Giorgio will stay in MIL's house with her care.
Monday morning CNY 1st day, I'm pretty alright. Anderson did not follow his family for the usual CNY pray in Temple that day, fearing I could go into labour anytime. So we stayed at home and watched TV. No pain, except that was blood spot on my panti, and the blood stain is just not 'spots' but more.
till 3-4pm, I was feeling really bored, so we decided to go home to Crimson. We packed and went back. On our way home, we packed Indian Rojak as dinner.... that time... not much of pain feeling yet........but it was soon to come................................... :)

BB 12th ultrasonic scan - week 38
Had another weekly check up today.
BB is healthy and weighted about 3kg.
Today the weighing scale for mommy didn't work right. I am 65.6kg.... went down.
Nurse said it could be the weighing machine problem. Consulted Dr, he say it is perfectly fine.
So today had another cervix check. It's 0.
Well, then just let bb decides when she wanna come into this world la. :)
Maybe she likes it inside, wanna pass CNY, eat CNY good foods first. :)

BB 11th ultrasonic scan - week 37
Finally the long awaited week 37 arrived. I had Dr's appointment this time at the new Hospital - Tropicana Medical, at Kota Damansara.
The uptown HQ of TMC Women's specialist have been moved here, apparently TMC's investment.
This week, as long awaited is the time where Dr will check for cervix opening, roughly gauge when BB can come out and feel mommy's internal bone to see if natural birth is suitable.
A sonographer (Ms Yong) scanned bb with the ultrasound first and provided us a pic of bb. :) She examined BB's heart rate, structural and BB's weight as what Dr normally does. I was told BB's weight is 3.1kg.
After that, I was asked to remain on the bed, wait for Dr to do the internal check.
So Dr came, and first he pressed on both side of my tummy and feel BB. He say BB's is already engaged. Next, it was time for him to put in his fingers..... with hands covered with glove, and applied some lubricant, one finger poked into my vagina..... OUCH!!!!!!! Then next, entered the 2nd finger.... ARGGGHH!!!! He slowly moved his fingers around to feel internally, then removed.
I could bear the pain of this still, just uncomfortable because of the the rubber glove friction. I did not shout. :)
Dr commented that cervix is still close, and still tight........ uhhh...... so we asked if BB would be arriving anytime soon. His answer was no. Not so soon as 1cm also not open. Perhaps after CNY.
well..... then let's wait for BB to decide when she wanna come out then. :P Also, I should be fit for natural delivery.
Dr adviced to walk more. In fact I thought I had walked more than enough. :(
The day before check up, i had some cramp internally on the lower abdomen. I was actually thinking it could be time. But after the check up, I just laughed at myself. hehe.... Also, Dr said that if it's cramp or pain, it's the whole abdomen, not just the lower part. So this time the cramp could be due to BB's position, etc but nothing to worry about.
So next appointment from now is weekly. So i'm seeing Dr again on 17thJan. Will be back to Tropicana Hospital as well. Nearer....... And so a question to Dr, if he would be checking down there every check up now on, he said he would prefer so to gauge better. My eyes were big looking at him. So he added on, I can refuse if I'm not feeling easy. hehe.

Water in my feet........
Where does the water go today ?
I observed that my feet is not so big today and is seeing the normal size of my feet. Maybe not the size seen pre-water-retention-days, but it's definitely not so much like a elephant leg today. :)
SIL and colleague told me before that when feet are observed to be smaller, water retention is lesser, then it is quite a sign that labour would be soon. Is this true ?????
BB 10th ultrasonic scan - week 35
I initially thought this week's check up would be week 36, but Dr's counting is only week 35.
Somehow counting down is so slow and dragging. :(
Dr would only do checks on cervix and etc on week 37, which is going to be 13thJan. By then Dr would advice if BB would arrive earlier, etc.
This week too, Dr did not print out the scan. He said bb is big now and does not fit into the scan pic. Anyway, the scan shows BB is 3.0kg this week. It's kinda big increase and Dr say the scan could be not accurate as my tummy doesn't look that bb is that big yet.
Baby Stroller
After waiting for some sponsors over sometime, I couldn't wait long, and got one our own.
Surveyed most models and brands available here and only have some in mind, eg Combi, SweetCherry and PegPerego.
For SweetCherry, it's kinda stable, big and with reversible handle. But heavy.
For Combi, it's light and Daddy says they are not stable since it's quite flimsy and shaky. Making some metal noises when being shaken and the wheels are small too. Not too sure if all models are the same for Combi but the one we went to was the Combi shop in MidV.
PegPerego's designs is very nice. But too bad, it doesn't come with reversible handle although it is lightweighted and easy to fold.
Before we decided to go ahead with SweetCherry, we came across another brand, which is Capella, a brand from Korea. It's only available in ToyRUs or online. Most Singaporean shops would have this brand. The model available in ToyRUs are S226 and S228. Then we found another model - Deluxe in a baby shop near to Jusco entrance in One Utama. After some thoughts we went ahead with S228 model. It has 0.3G shock absorbance, 6.2kg, reversible handle, full coverage canopy and double folding. The wheels size is medium - acceptable. This enables the stroller to be folded and remain standing. We got it online through a online store in Johor. And it was a good deal too. Got it at RM569 + Rm10 delivery. If we get from ToyRUs, the price is RM749. The only difference is the fabric imprint. Online store has a Capella logo, but ToyRUs has a mickey ears printing. :)
Oh, the little baby carrier which I got from my SIL is able to fit nicely on the stroller too. :)
