On 17July, I made my 3rd visit to Dr Wong for BB's check up.
As usual it takes about an hour to reach Kepong and we waited for about 45minutes before it is my turn for check up ~ 745pm.
This week, by manual counting, BB is 13weeks already. However by ultrasonic scan which then determine the age by the bb's length - BB is officially 11weeks6days.
When DrWong start putting the transducer on my tummy, I quickly observe the monitor to see my BB. It was so surprised to me that BB is already 'big'!!! And BB already have the basic shapes!!!! As I observe, I was amazed that BB is almost bouncing and dancing in my womb. BB's MOVING!!!!! :) :)
This week, BB measures at 51.8mm. It grows almost 3cm from 3 weeks before. Dr say it's healthy.
Anderson, from the back uttered a question - "is the BB moving?"
Dr Wong gave an assurance that BB is moving freely in the womb as there are ample spaces for it. :)
Dr Wong only measures BB's length when BB's position is almost lying flat on the womb.
Later, Dr explain on the Down Syndrome check. The most simplest test and with 70% detection rate is to measure the fluid thickness behind the BB's neck. This procedure can only be done from week 11 till week 13+6days. It is called as Nuchal Translucency Test.
Dr measured my BB's fluid thickness and it is 1.1mm. This measurement shows BB is OK and normal. I'm glad. :)
Dr says a measurement of more than 3mm would be abnormal and having risk of DownSyndrome.
When this happen a thorough check using blood will need to be conducted.
We went out for consultation and I told Dr that I'm constipated - feeling that the Obimin is giving the hard time. Dr doesn't really believe so, but advised me to take prune, prune juice and lots of vege + fruits. However, he also then prescribed me another type of MultiVits since I complaint. hehehe.
This time, I'm given Sangobion - from Merck.
Ah, my body weight is now 49.7kg. Increased of 300g from the 2nd visit measurement.
Wow.... ate a lot, 300g..... hehehhehehe
The next visit would be on Aug14.
Next round I'll be tested for anemia.
